Introduction

This webquest was created for grade 6 students to investigate, research and discover Homer's epic poem "The Odyssey."  This is a fun and creative way for children to learn using active learning and technology.

Learners

This activity allows child to learn in a variety of different ways. Children participate in both individual and small group work. They have to complete work using the internet, word documents, and printers. They also have to compile group brosures warning Odysseus of the hidden dangers as their final assessment.

Struggling Learners

This Webquest has something for every level of learner so all children should be given the opportunity to complete this quest as part of a heterogeneous group.  The group work will allow struggling students to receive peer modeling where necessary.
